I am still not feeling it. The writers did such a good job with the R & R romance but dropped the ball with this one. It could have been much more believable but 4 me I am still having a hard time buying into it. They need to make Joey a little more responsible & serious about relationships to make me even concider the 2 of them being anything more than a fling. It totally ruined it for me in that prev. episode where Rach was dreaming about Joey & they kissed that totally fell flat. She might as well had been kissing a totall stranger. I just didn't feel any connection between them It seemed forced & unnatural.

Besides if Joey was really still inlove with Rach, he wouldn't be so quick to pick up these women he does & flaunt them in front of her. You dont bring your dates home for aroll in teh hay when you are in love with your roommate whether you think there is a chance or not in a ddition you dont make out with others infront of someoen your heart longs for even if you know you cant have her & thats probably why I have such a hard time believing the possibility of a romance between them. Hes not serious enough & she's just horny.

But thats just my view point.

Sometimes, yes. I like the fights the most, though. They belong to a relationship, but for R+R it sadly ends [the chance for] it most of the time. Damn authors.

They would have to change the character of Joey more than they did with Ross over the past 6 years. In the end he would be quite like one of the Rosses.

Of course it's forced an unnattural. It seemed to have worked well, i.e. better than R+R again, for the ratings last year. And because often this is the only thing that counts, they cheaply try to repeat that scheme. I still believe they'll revert this into a R+R thing in the upcoming episodes. Maybe^W Rachel should consult a psychoanalyst, who'd tell her that she's seeking for a father of her child and as she couldn't get the biological one, which she also wanted, she just passed on to the next best option, subconsciously still wanting Ross.

Apropos horny: Reading the spoilers that started this thread (still don't know why I did that) made my guess for the next episode vanish, which was that Ross and Rachel, who both failed to score, once again ended up sleeping together. Of course we've more or less see them go down that road quite some times (it's May sweeps already, isn't it?), but it would feel more realistic than Rachel's dreaming. Or a paleontolgist meeting on Barbados.

Its my guess.... Or Cling to hope that this J & R thing is just a ploy to throw us off the scent while we watch Ross mature a little bit more so that he can be seen as a Man again (if thats possible) I was vomiting regularly watching his adolecent behavior & whiney tone after his 2nd failed marriage which at that time Rachael is the LAST person I wanted to see Ross with because he didn't seserve her & it frustrates me that now that they have matured him a bit the writers keep dangeling the potential of a R & R ending only to rip it away hoping we will get sidetracked long enough to forget about it. Then dangle it again. All the while bringing new mommy Rachels maturity level down a notch or two. Maybe this is their effort to make her a little bit more equally matched to Joey. Who the heck knows anymore.

I'd like 2 see Ross's character get a little more backbone & become a bit stronger in his gender & stand up for what he wants instead of hidding under a Rock everytime he is faced with some obsticle. I'd also like to see the writers get the Joey out of Rachels system. Let them hook up, go out on a real date where at the end when he kisses her it appears to be all romantic & then after they pull apart....

Rachel: Nothin? Joey: Yea, Nothin.... Rachel: hmmm Joey: Ok then

& then they walk to their seperate rooms both with a puzzled look on their faces.

Then I would like to see more Mommy & Daddy interaction. I'd like to see them acting as parents TOGETHER to their daughter & in the end Rachel proposes to Ross. Because Ross will always fear admiting his true emotions to Rachel without her expressing her honest emotions 1st.

Since R & R will be married & M & C are married that leaves Joey & Pheobe Joey being her fall back guy...... Or have Pheobe & Mike Hook Up & Joey & Whats her face the fellow palientologist & make a spin off using Joey & Pheobe either as friends or a goofy husb & wife team

Or make a spin off by in the final episode of Friends put Joey & Pheobe as contestants on MARRIED BY AMERICA or that other show with Monica Lewinski where they all wear masks & in the end its the 2 of them that end up together & make the spin off show about their marriage based on winning that show lol

I gave up making predictions after that, at least in public. In fact for 921 it was merely a guess, but a wish or hope how they could get something positive out of the stupid idea to raise J+R again, or R+J this time.

I was wondering the same when they did it in Frasier. OTOH they've already been to Las Vegas and London.
