The power outage caused by Thursday's automobile accident in front of WLBT couldn't have been timed any worse. The two-hour finale of NBC's hit sitcom "Friends" was suppose to air that night. Viewers missed the first hour retrospective of the show and the first fifteen minutes of the actual finale.
The "Friends" finale was perhaps the biggest night on television for 2004. Commercials even sold at prices only heard of during the Super Bowl. But an afternoon car accident in front of WLBT's studios knocked out power at the station, leaving the Channel 3 in black.

You will get a chance to see everything you missed. Sunday night at 10:35, we will air the one hour "Friends" special retrospective that was scheduled to air Thursday at 7p.m. After that, we will air the first 15 minutes of the "Friends" finale. NBC restricts us from re-running the parts of the episode that did air Thursday. However, the network plans to rerun the last three episodes of "Friends," including the finale, on May 20th.
