LONDON (Reuters) - Courteney Cox Arquette on Thursday pledged that she would not quit the hit television series ''Friends'' which has made her an international star.
Asked by Britain's TV Times if this was her last series, she said ``No and I am not going to leave the show.
``Right now the bigger question is about doing a seventh series and beyond that. It won't be my decision alone. All the actors on the show are pretty close and at one point we are going to sit down and talk about our future.''
But Cox, dispelling rumors that the show was set to end, said: ``Right now we are all very happy with the way the public are responding.''
Asked what it would take for her to quit the show, she said: ``We're going to re-evaluate our situation in the next few months and then we'll make a decision. It has nothing to do with money but with the quality of the show.''
Cox, who had a big movie hit in 1997 with the Wes Craven horror film ``Scream,'' said: ``I'd like to work for another 10 years and then pack it in.''
