I really doubt that this is true. Just listen to interviews of David schwimmer.

I would love a ninth season but it seems like all of them would have to agree and to say it is a done deal is I think a fantasy. We need to let everyone know that we want a new season and that we are not tired of the show. That is what I think will convince the stars to stick on...
