I really love Friends...but that wedding was terrible. Am I the only one who thought so? I mean all this talk about Monica wanting the perfect wedding. This was her dream. It wasn't at all fancy. Her dress was plain. Her hair was plain. The entire ceremony was dull. I have a little theory...Next season sometime it will come out that Joey did something wrong and wasn't really legal to marry them. Then Monica and Chandler won't be legally married and a bunch of silly little things will happen. Maybe they won't even get legally married. I know it is off the wall, but Joey marring them was off the wall as well. And I am also probably one of the very few people who doesn't think Rachel is pregnant. I taped this episode and watched it 3 times. She didn't have the type of reaction you would expect if that pregnancy test was hers. And she also made the comment that the test must have been taken that morning because she took the trash out the night before...why would she even mention that if she was hiding the fact that it was her test? Maybe she knows whose it is and she was sworn to secrecy. I just don't think it's hers. Maybe it's Ross's mom's....

Nope regarding the wedding you definetlyain't the only one. Monica's dress didn't even seem to fit well. Considering she has obsessed about her perfect wedding since age 6, you'd think she woudl come up with something way better than this. ross & Emily's wedding was more beautiful in my opinion. You're not the only one who doubt Rachel is pregnant too, but who knows? My friends however thought she was pregnant imidietly when Phoebe found the test, cause of Rachel's reactoion when she said OMG, liek she weas thinking OMG you found it. So they weren'tr even surprised by the clffhanger. I think the writers don't even knwo who's pregnant, cause earlier seasons they never thought about how to cointinue the cliffhanger until tehy got together to start writing the season opener after the summer.

Yes the whole episode sucked. How stupid to have Chandler running away like that. His whole character has gotten stupid. There could have been so much more happening. -Someone could have accidently turned the water on the wedding dress when it was in the shower, a kid could have thrown up on her, she could have fallen on the way down the isle, etc etc.
Yes the whole thing was plain and drab. I think they pay the actors so much there isn't any money left. They could have at least gotten a decent dress. I guess that's why they showed so much running around stupid stuff before the wedding instead of more of the wedding.
I agree the next season will be the finish for Freinds. It's run it's course. As far as Rachel being pregnant, it's obvious the producers wanted us to think so because in real life she's talking about having a baby. If she comes up pregnant it's already covered on the show. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
I think it has to be Rachel's now. They may have intended for it to be up in the air with people wondering who was pregnant over the summer. But instead, people are wondering who the father will be. It will be way too much of a let-down if the writers go any other direction.

I have a feeling that since this next season is probably the last one, it might be very plausible that Rachel could be pregnant. It could lead to some very interesting stories coming up for the 8th season that don't center around Chandler and Monica. Also, since the baby wouldn't be born until the end of the season, there will be no babies to deal with. I can definitely see why the writers would do this (if it is Rachel who is pregnant, of course).

And whatever happened to bachelor parties? The show could have done something with that. It would have made a better show is Chandler had gotten drunk and fell asleep some where and no one could find him instead of him running away.
Or maybe Monica could have been the one to end up in some unknown location.
Rachel took the rubbish out ?? Maybe she did a test the night before, took the rubbish out so no-one would find out that she's pregnant, and is amazed to find out that Monica has done a test the next morning !

I hated the dress too--I thought it looked more like a slip you would wear under a dress. The one she had to fight for in the bridal store was a far better choice.
I have mixed feelings about Rachel's pregnancy also. The only real allusion to it seemed to be at the end when Phoebe mentioned how great it was that Monica and Chandler were starting their lives together, and having a baby--Rachel had a pensive look on her face. So, I wonder....

Well, if your gonna bring a baby into this show, I think you need two. R&R's and C&M's. A fan of either wants to see their couple get together, get married, and have a baby. The writers had to do that for RnR somehow, and if they waited, the wouldn't have time. My theroy? Rachel IS pregnant-with Ross' kid, and in a few episodes, Monica ends up pregnant- duh, with Chandler's kid. And then the two kids grow up together, knowing the show, probally having the same b-days. (Two birth episodes would be too repetitive when they only have 24 left to wrap the whole show up.) I mean, they could be the same sex or a different sex and it'd work. I know people who have the same b-days and are really good friends, and celebarate them together EVERY year. I know some of you will think it's dumb, but I don't know, just an idea :)
i hope you werent hinting at the kids ending up together... cos theyd be cousins ;)

I disagree. I absolutely *loved* this episode. It was emotional and dramatic, but hilarious at the same time. The dress Monica bought in episode 717 was more beautiful than the one she wore at the wedding. I thought it was too simple and, as you say, plain. I thought the actors' performances were brilliant. CCA didn't have much to do, but all of them shone in this episode. After repeated viewing, I think it's JA who gave the best performance. She gave hints throughout the episode about her supposed pregnancy, which I didn't notice the first time around, but it was easy to see them afterwards. (She should get an Emmy-nod for this episode.) If both CCA and JA are preggers by the end of the summer, I don't think we can shut out the possibility of both Rachel and Monica being pregnant in season 8. If this were the case, the writers would probably focus on Rachel's pregnancy, which would make the viewers who hate C+M happy. And as for the C+M fans, they would be so happy that Monica and Chandler were finally going to have a baby, that they wouldn't mind. This season finale was terrific, and it gave us a cliffhanger that will give us something to ponder on for a long time.
What do you think JA did in this episode to hint she may be prego? I watched it 3 times and I saw no such things.....

And even though Monica was busy, there was no reason why she couldn't have taken out the trash herself.
Also, would Rachel have dried away her tears with used tissues unless they were her own? I don't think so. In episode 317 TO Without the Ski-Trip, she declared that she rarely used a public bathroom ("no tissue, no touchie"), so I don't think she would accept the used tissues otherwise.
She was also unusually moody throughout the episode, and she cried even more than she usually does, what with Chandler leaving and all.
Her scenes with Phoebe in the kitchen and in the bathroom were great. I didn't think Rachel was the important person in these scenes when I watched it the first time, but if you see it again, JA does an amazing job here. The tears, the fake shock etc.
Ok...but I have to tell you something that you said that made no sense...Rachael DID NOT KNOW the tissues in the trash were used. That's why that scene was so funny. Pheobe kept offering her used tissues but Rachael had no idea. I know it seems obvious that Racheal is prego...All I'm saying is I'll bet it's not what we think...

Rachel kept wiping her nose with the tissues that Phoebe offered her, and Phoebe even offered her friend used *floss*. My point is that Rachel had to know *something* about the tissues in the trash can, or else there is no way she would have wiped away her tears with them. It was funny to us when we saw it for the first time because we all thought Rachel was accepting the tissues without knowing where they came from, but having watched it again, she couldn't have been clueless about it. Also, there is one thing I agree with you on. I don't believe Rachel is preggers, all I'm saying is that JA did a fabulous job making it look like she was. Based on other things we saw in this episode it could be any of the girls.
