Joey in Red Sweater episode (spoiler outside USA)

Is it really in character for Joey to want to marry someone who's expecting?

Spoiler space, just in case......(my answer containes Season 8 spoilers) :)

Phoebe or Rachel? YES! Any other girl, I think so, too.....(after the initial freak out, of course) I think if that really did happen, he would rise to the occasion and do the same thing he did with Phoebe. I think his character is just that kind-hearted under it all, and that he would do anything for his good friends. I have to admit though, that the part where he freaked out thinking he got someone pregnant was very funny!! *WHO CALLED HERE!?!*

He's (allegedly) been brought up a Catholic, even if he doesn't stick to the traditional "no sex before marriage" rules most of the time (then again, I don't honestly think *any* Catholic does these days, and you can't accuse me of being a troll because virtually my whole family is Irish Catholic :P) - considering that both Phoebe and Rachel are good friends of his, it seems reasonable to expect that he would want them to be married when they had their children.
