Well I can say I really liked Joey and Phoebe's plotlines tonight, though am tired of watching Ross get dumber by the episode. But it was great to see a plot center around Phoebe and her love life. As for Monica and Chandler, wow, that was just one innapropriate plotline. Honestly, do we really need to know about Chandler's masturbatory habits? You would think they could have come up with something for them a little less gross for the viewers.

Yep. I was less impressed with Pheobe's storyline--I don't see much chemistry with her and Mike. But I thought Joey was very funny.
How long was her relationship with Danny? Less than a month? And I thought they did live together for one night, at least. Although I wouldn't call it serious in more objective standard.

I can blame Monica, and Rachel as well, for not even thinking about the channel switch buttons, but the plot itself wasn't bad, and also masturbation hadn't been featured in Friends till 904 IIRC -- I don't count Ross touching himself while asleep nor the pink T-shirt story.
Not necessarily, but the Bing's marriage life, which includes this storyline, is of interest to the show. After all, it's just masturbation.
P.S.: I heard some while ago that US-Americans adopted the German "Gesundheit!", but didn't really believe it, I guess now I'm proven wrong.

I thought the bit was consistent with previous episodes. There have been plenty of episodes where porn is mentioned, and Monica hired the stripper, and I'm sure there was an episode where she gets a porn tape for Chandler. Her reaction lastnight wasn't over the masturbation, which some might be upset by, but by the mistaken belief that he was getting aroused by sharks. (Never mind that one could have the tv set on, and be thinking about something else.) She seems troubled by this fetish, but then accepts it, and tries to move it into their love life.
It was a lot more reasonable than a lot of the sex-oriented silliness that often appears on TV.

Weeeeeeeell, seems ol' Mr. Tribiani remembered the apartment alright, but didn't remember the girl at all. He confronted his date with a "Why don't you remember having sex with me?" She said they never did, and he couldn't believe that someone couldn't remember 'him'. About that time, the girl's roommate walks in ... the light goes off in Joey's head and a "Ooooooh. I slept with you. (to the roommate)" ... he then turns back to his date and says, "Then we're cool." She gives him the 'you creep' look ... and Joey just says, "I'll let myself out." ... end of that storyline, and unfortunately the end of Susan Ward on FRIENDS, too bad, she's a hottie.

I liked it. While Phoebe's romance storyline hasn't yet touched the viewers in a way the producers have probably hoped for, this could be the first serious thing since that cop played some famous actor whose name I tend to forget. Joey made me laugh all the time, from the moment he starts talking to the girl in CP until he lets himself out and C&M and the shark porn was good stuff as well. Sure it's not the subtle witty writing that was featured in the early years of Friends, but this show hasn't been funny since S6, so at least it manages to make me laugh again. As someone else said, the conclusion to that story, where Chandler gets more and more irritated by what's going on nearly killed me - "some good old fashioned American girl on girl porn" LOL!
As for Ross, I don't know whether to laugh about it or be mad at the writers for portraying him as such a bumbling moronic idiot again, I thought this part of his persona was gone forever, but apparently not. Anyone know why JA's part was so small in this ep? Was she busy with something else or did they not have the time to fit in a story for her? Seeing how their filler stories this year work out it was probably for the best.
