Peculiarly, your quote was the only DG that was not part of an ODG.
Okay then, this count is for a Chandleresque word...
Chandler ... 12
Joey ........ 9
Monica ...... 4
Phoebe ...... 4
Ross ........ 3
Rachel ...... 0..can you guess what this word is, that Rachel has never said?

perfection? (as in "gum would be...") It's unlikely to be anus or wenus, as I can't imagine Joey saying those words particularly often. Hmm, what else counts as "Chandleresque"?

Monica has said 225 Chandlers, but only 216 Rachels. Phoebe talks about the others equally, but they talk less about her. Rachel has said 438 Rosses, far more than anyone else about anyone.
Chandler has said 302 Joeys, but only 186 Monicas. Joey averages 281 about boys, but only 99 about girls. Ross talks about Rachel far less than she talks about him.

"The old Monica would tell you to scrub that teflon pan with a plastic brush. But I'm not gonna do that." 1.06 TOW The Butt.
and Phoebe: she said her own name twice in 6.14, when she was talking about herself.
I know you wouldn't have counted the times she said Phoebe when she was talking about her birth Mum, Phoebe.
So... did I catch ya?? <g>

To everyone pointing out how many times Monica said "Monica" etc, part of the routine is there to prevent self reference. Take it out and the whole thing loops. I'll put in something smarter when I'm less busy.

Yes Sharon, you *did* catch me. Thankyou very much indeed for pointing this out. There was (and at the moment still is) a bug, where the routine prevents the name of who is talking being regarded as what is said, that is rather over-zealously protecting the name from the search all the way through, apart from the rare case of very long lines which are handled differently. It only affects people talking about themselves, which I'd hadn't tried, and the resulting low figures didn't make me suspicious.
Oh, well! Thanks again. :)

Chandler has said his name many more than 4 times, but due to unexpected difficulties with self-referencing, counting is not easy. A quick fix is to change his name to Chester (see below) that is not satisfactory. Upon investigation, the problems become worse - what about when he talks about Raymond Chandler? What about Chandler Buffay? The show also has two Joeys, two Monicas, and two Phoebes. And then their nicknames Chan, Mon, Rache, Pheebs, and Joe. On top of all that there's the problem of the many stage directions - no problem when looking for rare words or phrases, but a big pest when searching for the six main character names.
I'm not saying I can't do it, I'm quite looking forward to writing a whole new search routine to handle this, but despite what a few trolls said about me recently, I was out having fun all day yesterday and I'm just about to go out again today, so you guys will just have to wait!

[waves his arm around, exposing the bracelet] 218 CHESTER: Oh, uh, he's not here right now, uh, I'm Chandler, can I take a message, or, or a fishtank? 306 CHESTER: Well let's see, there was the guy with the ferrets, that's plural. The spitter. Oh-ho, and yes, the guy that enjoyed my name so much he felt the need to make a little noise every time he said it. Nice to meet you, Chandler Bing Bing! Great apartment Chandler Bing, Bing! 306 CHESTER: Two. This photographer, who seemed really dull. And this actor guy, who I'm not sure about, because when he called and I answered the phone 'Chandler Bing,' he said 'Whoa-whoa, short message.' 309 CHESTER: (running up) Hey Joey, do you wanna play football or you wanna.. (sees Margha) Hi, I'm Chandler. 309 CHESTER: Guys! Guys! Come on! It's Thanksgiving, it's not important who wins or loses. The important thing is, (to Joey) the Dutch girl picked me! Me! Not you! Holland loves Chandler! Thank you, Amsterdam! Good night!! 403 CHESTER: No-no-no-no-no-no-no!! I can't get myself right out of them! You must have me confused with the Amazing Chandler!! Come on, you have to unlock me, she could be gone for hours, and I'm cold, and (Stops and looks up the skirt on a statue behind 405 CHESTER: Wish it! (To the woman, Kathy, he likes) Hi. Hi, I-I was just sitting over there, and uhh, Chandler. My name is Chandler. Did I say that? 405 CHESTER: I don't know. I can't--I just, I can't get her out of my head. Y'know? I mean, I'm a very bad person. I'm a very, very bad person. I'm a horrible person. (he waits for a reaction, when he doesn't get one) No you're not Chandler! We still love you Chandler! 413 CHESTER: And she'll go, "No-no-no, it's Chandler." And he'll go, "Whatever. Ha-ha-ha-ha!" 414 CHESTER: (To the strippers) Alright ladies, here's what we're gonna do. You are gonna take off my clothes. You two, go get the oils. And you just constantly scream at the top of your voice, "Chandler's the king! Chandler's the king!" 418 CHESTER: Hey, y'know what, if you're gonna do that, if you're gonna name him Joey, you should name him Chandler. (Phoebe doesn't think so.) Oh, come on! Chandler's funny, sophisticated, and he's very loveable, once you get to know him. 418 CHESTER: Well, Chandler will be there for you too. I mean, well, he might be a little late, but-but, he'll be there. And he'll bring you some cold soda, if want you need him for is that you're really hot. 418 CHESTER: Raymond Chandler. 420 CHESTER: You're coming on to the entire room! (He goes over to pick up a stack of magazines next to her, and to get her attention, he throws them back down.) I'm Chandler. 503 CHESTER: So uh, now that little Chandler turned out to be a girl, what are they gonna name her? 508 CHESTER: Really? Worse than, "More turkey Mr.Chandler?" 510 CHESTER: (Answering the phone at work) Hello, Chandler Bing. 510 CHESTER: Yes! Chandler Bing, 7! Chandler Bing, 0. 515 CHESTER: Well I would've been happy because I would've be able to spend the rest of my life with the woman that I love. Or, you would've seen a Chandler shaped hole in that door. (Points at the door.) 523 CHESTER: I know. Can you believe it? One year ago today I was just your annoying friend Chandler. 603 CHESTER: Okay so you mean no as in, "Gee Chandler, what an interesting idea. Let's discuss it before we reject it completely." 605 CHESTER: Little baby girl Chandler, where I have heard that before? Oh right, Coach Ruben. (Tries to get her to drink a little more from the bottle when he suddenly smells something. It's times like these I'm glad Smell-O-Vision hasn't been invented.) 608 CHESTER: Hi, my name's Chandler. I just moved in next door and I was wondering if you would be interested in battling me in a post-apocalyptic world for control of the galaxies last remaining energy source? 608 CHESTER: Hi, I'm Chandler. Your live-in boy. 611 CHESTER: And I'm blah? Listen, the only thing more boring than watching modern dance is having to listen to you talk about it, (Imitating her) "Oh Chandler, I just lost myself in the moment." 622 CHESTER: (on machine) You've reached Monica and Chandler's, if you're listening to this message, we're probably screening. (to himself) Yeah we are. 622 CHESTER: (on phone) This is Chandler Bing! This is Chandler Bing! (Listens) Yes, the groom-No! Not the groom!! 622 CHESTER: (on machine) This is Chandler Bing! This is Chandler Bing! (The machine beeps off.) 624 CHESTER: (glaring at her) Well, Monica and Chandler can't go. We're going to dinner remember?! 624 CHESTER: What?! I'm Chandler! (She nods towards the doorway, Chandler turns and looks) Oh, that's Richard! 624 CHESTER: (to Lisa) And uh, you don't have a mustache which is good. (She just smiles.) I'm Chandler; I make jokes when I'm uncomfortable.
