Question about Ross

Remember a few weeks back when Ross was obsessed about the book he wrote being in the "lovers lane" part of the library? He meets this woman, the one person who read his book, who is beautiful and yet geeky like him. Makes out with her and doesn't hook up with her later. I know you will say it probably was because he was embarrassed about being caught and all, but in real life, that could be something two people could share and help bring them closer together. It looked like she could have been his "soulmate". Who else could he talk dinosaur bones with and care? They must be getting ready to have him and Rachel get back together, you think?
