By the way, I got a real kick out of Rachel's date with Michael, because I used to have a cat named Michael. If you remember the episode, you'll know what I'm talking about. (Michael the cat was a holy terror. He didn't last long in the city. My Mom took him to live on a farm. . . . I hope it wasn't the same farm Ross and Monica's dog went to.)

I thought she went out on one date with him - the one where Ross is like glued to the peephole at Chandler's? I know it's only one date, but I don't think she had many more than that (if any) with Ben Stiller and Ayre Gross (Michael) :)

That wasn't a date! They were just going out as friends, because after they went into Rachel's apartment he asked her out and she said no. The were still just friends but Mark wanted to be more. Rachel said no. So they never dated. Ross just thought that they were because he saw them coming back from what he thought was a date, but really just two platonic friends hanging out!
