ross and rachel ever be? joey and pheobe?

I need some other opinions, i am currently pissed, because joey shouldnt be in love with rachel, but joey should love PHEOBE!!!!! What is wrong with the world???? Geez, dont the fucking producers know that Ross and Rachel are soulmates??? Geez, its frustrating that my fantasy of the show ending with Joey and Pheobe married, and Ross and Rachel married.... again may not happen. Shoot! ~~~mike~~~

I know I may be a little different, but I don't think that Joey and Phoebe should be together. I used to think that way. I think they are great as friends, but that friendship would be ruined with a relationship. They are more of the type of friends that will be friends forever and always have a special place, but not as a couple.

Don't worry, Mike. This isn't the endgame here, even if there weren't one more season coming. This was a great surprise situation that may serve as a catalyst for the results you want. Or even just a preliminary plotline, or to show growth in the Joey character.

I originally thought, like criticisms I'd read, that it might be too easy and tidy to pair off all of the friends as couples/married. But, personality-wise, there is great reason to see an ultimate pairing of RR and JP (and, of course, CM) , and a dandy way to send off the series.

The one problem there still might be is the idea that these friendships might only be fodder for relationships, and the very idea of them BEING Friends is merely transitory rather than lasting in a meaningful way. Of course, it can also prove just HOW deep the friendships, the relationships between these 6 people really is (besides two of the friends being brother and sister, that is).

All in all, I'd like to see the expected tripple pairings happen by the end of the series.
