I've gotta tell ya, there has NEVER been a better ratings stunt. Being that this is Friends, well... it was the first GOOD fantasy episode to pop up on a sitcom. All the others... hmmm... how to I put this nicely... sucked. Even though 614 was high laughs material and so was tonight's episode, I still don't feel the scurity that Friends has been pulled out of its current slump. Because, let's face it, this was *indeed* a rating stunt. But the best one ever!
Rachel&Ross: Meeting up in the beginning... both married unhappily... how wonderful! (I loved that porn skit...) I only wish the writers had incorporated an R&R storyline as well. I realize that to mix that in with the other plots they'd have to stretch the episode out for an hour and thirty minutes but hey- I'd be up for it.
Ross&Carol: I was so PLEASED that they brought Susan back. Even if it was only for... what was it... two lines, three? I've missed her. Carol too. And did I mention Ben? :-) The entire Ross trying to convince Carol to sleep with him was just none-stop falling off the couch. And I really liked those karate additions as well. It was a bit on the cheesy side, true, but check out any other fantasy episode and try to compare. At least this cheese was amusing. Did anybody else notice Ross acting much more like old Ross? (Don't say I'm only getting the impression because of the hair, K? I KNOW David was acting Ross out like he used to.) It was bit softer voice... not so many outbursts... and just a more sensitive personality flowing around him rather than the way he has been potrayed these past two years. Perhaps it's that when Ross is in a relationship with a woman he's different. Or pining for them. We didn't see him acting so different until after Emily... he pined for her, I'll admit. But it wasn't 'till he realized it was over that he began to change in that drastic manner.
Rachel&Joey: That Jennifer sure can work it. I am truely guilty of adoring that spoiled Rachel. She was just so lovable and pulled off some great lines. Oh and Matt. Hehe. When he was ordering Chandler around and the issue with the pulp- fantastic. I cracked up with those two- even though I didn't favor that kiss. (R&R fan... as you can see from above.) But... hey! It's a fantasy episode... I can live with it. (This is all Tina's advice. I tried Tina. But you can't blame me for frowning at the screen.) Joey as Ramoray- ah, picking on soap opera cheese. Gotta love that.
Chandler&Monica: Quite odd to see Chandler broke, for once, and getting the dough from Joey. (Sits back the chair, tapping her fingers. "Oh, how the tables have turned.") It was great to see Chandler shooting out some funny lines again. Being fat was definitely Courteney's highlight. She was so hilarious and I loved her bringing up the "flower" even though it was predictable. I loved the kit-kat comment... herr gorging on the food after the doctor left... she was just so funny. Now Chandler and Monica together, I am a big C&M also- despite how I hate the way the characters have been depicted in the latest editions of Season 6- I liked this storyline. It was endearing... (which is my fancy word for mushy.) They look sweet together in any sense for despite the added- body suit, I believe- they can't throw away the physical chemistry because Courteney still has that beautiful face. OH- and Chandler having sex with only *one* woman? Perhaps that first experience when he was 19 but all bets on Janice. (Best C&M moment of the night- the couch!)
Phoebe: How can I put this simply... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Phoebe... smoking? Phoebe... heart attacks? Phoebe... business woman? Phoebe... hating herbal tea?

Oh... and umm... even if I made a few grammar mistakes I'd really appreciate if nobody made such a big deal. After all, I had 10 genuine minutes to type this message out and I scanned over it. It looks fine to me. Not ll proper grammar but just to be on the safe side I didn't include an LOL. If I did make some errors please know that I am utterly apologetic. All right, I'm heading off to the movies. Although the REAL fun begins manana. Can't wait for tomorrow- I plan to gather all of my crew and head off for Hanging Up and The Whole Nine Yards. And another round of Scream 3 is appropriate. Yes... I have a life but I often set it aside when it has to deal with the people I admire. (And you know who they are.) My friends don't, however. That's why I recruit at least 5 for each showing. Except for my ex-boyfriend who still puts up with 4 hours, at least. Naturally... he doses off from time to time. :-)
