It reminded me of when Rachel gave Ross advice to do whatever it took for Emily to make that relationship work. She didn't know what she was actually telling him, but it was the right thing. Now Ross has done the same thing (and didn't WHINE all night. Kudos!) It just goes to show you, good advice is good advice no matter who gives, and who gets.

Yes, now that you mentioned it, we actually saw the similar situation way back during Ross-Emily-Rachel things going on. History repeats itself.

But note how Rachel gets really upset when Ross decided he won't see Rachel again in order to get Emily to live with him. This is just after Rachel told Ross to "do ANYTHING to make it works." I wonder whether Ross will be "upset" to Joey in this similar situation.

It's just odd that when a person giving the advice and doesn't realize that the problem actually involves him/herself.
