Friends -The new "cheers"

Does it seem to anyone else that friends is becoming like that other Am. sitcom.....Cheers? The storylines seem to be weaker, in favour of gags and supposedly (supposebly) funny scenes.It used to be the case that the se. built a storyline that gripped you and you wished the se. didn't end.Now it's meandering along like an episode of cheers .If you watch 617 closely the cast don't really seem to believe in what they are doing ,almost as if all the good things they done the previous week has been forgotten and it's back to series space filler episode no.617. Maybe their heart is just not in it ? It's just such a big thing now, who is going to be the one to call it a day? What do you all think?

I think a lot of people feel the same way you do. We know for sure that Lisa Kudrow is getting tired of it, which is why she wants so much more money.

I think there's a lot to be said when people like Reese Witherspoon, who aren't used to the pace of TV, go in and bring more energy to the show than the main stars. (Yes, I've been watching another movie of hers - this time "Pleasantville". *Wow*, that was a good movie.) To be honest, it's painfully obvious when they bring in guest stars like Witherspoon that the main cast are jaded - and I've already said my views on that three times this week, so I don't think I need to say it again. Oh well...

Same thing happened to Seinfeld, what can you do...
