If Monica's family were friends with Richard when she was growing up..., how come she didn't know that he had a son Timmy?

I think it was mentioned in an earlier thread.. There are a few inconsistencies with character relationships not matching the backgrounds.. The Writers of the show "Shaped" some of the relationships in later episdoes, and disregaurded some of the previous history of their associations with some of the other relationships..

Either that, or the Dr. had Timothy after the families were no longer in contact. But that's nowhere in the script.. so Unlikely...

It is possible that the parents were close but the kids didn't really have much association with each other.

Kids have other activities and other friends.

I always though Monica did know he HAD a son, but never saw him. Well, I know Monica knew... They were talking about his son during the break up. He did not want to become a dad again, he already had been one.
