Is syndication out of order everywhere???

A few nights ago the episode where Phoebe had the job ringing the Christmas bell aired. In that same episode, Ross had already moved in with Joey & Chandler because he lost his job. A night or two later, they showed the one where Ross got fired for going psycho at work because someone snitched Monica's sandwiches, which led to him moving in with Joey & Chandler.

Friends isn't exactly a soap opera, but continuity is more important in this show than most sitcoms. I missed out on the prime-time airings of these episodes because I was working nights back then. Is this out-of-order thing the same everywhere, or do I need to get nasty with the local program director?

PS - maybe I shouldn't complain...after all, we get two Friends eps a day here (or is that the same everywhere else, too?)

No it's basically the same everywhere. Do you read Chris's scedule of the broadcasting? He tells us what episodes they are playing. They are jumping around season 5 a bit. Then they are going back to season 1. IT was amazing that for a few months they were going in order. You should look at an episode guide to help you understandt he continutiy a little better. Luckily I saw them all the first time around so I know what happens and why they happen.. But I am now trying to tape them so I have copies of all the episodes *yes I taped in the past but taped over them with other friends episodes over and over for 6 years* and now cause they all are out of order and lines are cut its pretty poor :(

They show us a new one every thursday ok not always a new one, but that's when the new ones play. On NBC at 8 EST

Yah, I noticed that too. I don't think they've shown every episode for the 5th season. The past couple of weekends they've shown a couple of 5th season eppys but then went to a 1st season eppy. ugh....And to find out that they'll be showing the 1st season next week, goes on and on and on and........

yea I know its soo fustrating because i want to tape all of season 5..

I think we should write a letter to them..
