Spoiler for episode 617

"After Rachel prooves to Ross that she can fix a sink they decide to get a pizza. Ross specifically asks for no anchovies and Rachel sort of lauhgs. Ross and Rachel then start to talk about the night they broke up and Rachel finally admits that she was wrong about writing the note in TOW THE JELLYFISH, and that Ross and her were broken up, then he interrups her and says," Rach' we don't need to be talking about...WHAT did you say?" After awhile when Chandler and Mon. come back from their date,and they find Ross leaning in to kiss Rachel, but he leans away after Chandler says YES!!!!!! and the show is to be continued..."

So, what do you guys think? Is it the beginning of something? :)

Wouldn't think so - when giving us R&R stuff that doesn't go anywhere, there's a line they tend to steer clear of... not too sure where the line is, but it's there. However, having Rachel admit that she was wrong about the break, the 18 page letter, etc., Ross almost kissing her,and only pulling away when Chandler yells out, is so far over the line that the line is a dot to them right now. :)

Having said that, that's exactly what my friend heard - oooooh boy, was *he* shocked when he realised what I'd heard. That was fun. :)

This is why I doubt the veracity of the spoiler. If they were going to do this, KBC might as well precede the episode with a shot of the 3 of them standing in front of the camera and apologizing to all the fans for all the horrible things they've done to the Ross and Rachel characters, just to explain the abruptness of the change.

Somehow I do not see this happening. Instead, we'd all be expected to just accept that Rachel comes to her senses all of a sudden for no particular reason. To top it off, the only place I see them going from there, recalling the spoiler, is back down the same road already well travelled. Been there, done that, too many times.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Rachel make such a startling admission of guilt (frankly, I'd fall out of my chair). But I'd expect such a moment to take several episodes to develop. The Rachel I know would never cave in so quickly. She'd need to hit rock-bottom first, and even then might have to go deeper, since she's been there before (201 TOW Ross' New Girlfriend). She'd also have to go deeper than 50 feet of crap ;-)

They will probably drop it till the next sweeps month.... *Rolls eyes* I know they will, I'm really gtting the hang of how the Ross and Rachel storyline is working out, Held off for sweeps... I' getting so sick ofit and it's just mean, Kauffman, Krane, this better lead somewhere!

We have the cute little subplot to look forward to. Not a great deal more. <frown>

Or maybe not again - turns out the poor thing's a tad scrambled and actually went to see 61*8* being taped. :) There's an R&R storyline in 618 though, I believe. :)
