I was just wondering what role the network plays in Friends' storylines. If the writers decided to put rachel and joey together, and the network wanted ross and rachel together, what happens... Does the creator have ultimate control or the network?

The creator has ultimate control. And I think he has a destination in mind. But he has to keep thinks interesting during the journey.
