They sure used a lot of stuff they used before. Well maybe not a lot, but some. For one there's Chandler sweeping all the stuff off the table, which David did in S1 for Phoebe. The fake accents have been done before a couple of times, most memorably in S6 when Ross pretended to be from England and Rachel and Monica gave him a hard time about it. Then there's Janice, who appears only to cause trouble (just like last year's finale), although this time around she was right.
But overall I'd say this was a pretty good episode, hopefully Ross remains this way, reminded me a lot of how Chandler used to be. Maybe not getting Charlie has finally pushed him over the edge and he'll now become the sarcastic one in the group. That'd be cool imho. I wonder what they'll do to Phoebe to fit into this highly dramatic season conclusion. I mean it's got to be on par with M+C being infertile and the Joey/Rachel/Ross/Charlie mess. If they continue down this road we will probably see more DooL actors in S10, after all, they're going to need people with soap experience. Also note how Emma is still nowhere to be seen, not even when all the girls are in the apartment.
