OTP: friends mpg

Hi there.

I downloaded friends 913 from kazaa, some 314... mb in mgp format, and for some reason I'm unable to play it. I have win xp pro, windows mediaplayer and have downloaded the latest nvidia drivers. What happens is it plays, sometimes for 5 secs, sometimes for 5 minutes, but eventually it freezes the computer totally, and I have to reset it using the reset button on the computer, ctrl-alt-delete doesn't even work. Any ideas how this can be?
