So they hope.

It's not likely they'll yank it after only one episode, but anything's possible these days. And certainly, it's not going to stick around that long if it's not drawing audience.

Was it as many as four? I only watched the first episode in full.

"Girls Club" on FOX, supposed to be the replacement for Ally McBeal, lasted only two episodes.

There was a Randy Quaid comedy that got plenty of publicity but never made it to air. I believe this was in 2002, and not to be confused with his "The Brotherhood of Poland, N.H." that aired in the fall for a few episodes.

I'm not saying that "Joey" will be a bomb, I sure know nothing of it, only that anything's possible.
