Can you think of other Friends EPPY like this one?

In "TOW No One's Ready" 3:02, the entire episode takes place inside Monica's apartment. Can anyone think of any other episodes that take place entirely in one location?? I haven't really given it much though, but I don't think there is.

(I should mention though, that in the "extended version" of this episode on TBOFv2, the real ending of this episode takes place at Ross' function that everyone took so long to get ready for, which isn't in Monica's apartment, but this isn't how it was originally shown.)

I don't think there's any other episode that takes place in one location. However, in TOW with the Rumor (with Brad Pitt), it started in Joey and Rachel's apartment but AFTER the opening credits, the whole show takes place in Monica and Chandler's apartment (I *think*). So that's pretty close :)

Now that you've mentioned it, when I was watching the DVD's, I never knew there were so many scenes cut out from every episodes.

"TOW The Ball" Ep521 takes place everywhere ... they throw the ball in both apartments, there is a Central Perk scene, there is a police station scene (I think - when Gary asks Phoebe to move in with him) there is an outside Central Perk scene where Rachel tries to sell the 'hairless' cat. There is a scene in Gary & Phoebe's apartment where Gary shoots the bird (see ****The Dumbest F*R*I*E*N*D*S scenes**** thread, man I hate that scene). So that's not a good example. ;-)

TOW Ross' Wedding would be a better example since it is all in London, although there are a bunch of Monica's apartment scenes with Phoebe and Rachel, so that too doesn't count. I am guessing that there is no other Friends episode that takes place only at one scene. I DARE ANYONE ELSE TO FIND ONE!!! ;-)

I say you are wrong. In the original, they just show the generic Friends dancing around the fountain scene with the music playing at the end. Either way, someone is wrong, if it is me, my apologies, but I know I never saw the banquet ending until I got TBOFv2. So I still think I am right.

I defer. So I guess there are NO episodes like I thought this one was. I guess in syndication this final part of the episode was cut. I wonder why they would do that.

It seems to me that you're thinking of a syndicated version. However, there was an episode where the tag scene was not shown on the original airing, but was left intact when it was first shown in Britain.

That episode was 422 "TOW the Worst Best Man Ever". I emailed Eric Aasen to inform him that he had forgotten the tag, (which consists of Dick the duck quacking as he happily splashes in his tin bath, to the jolly tune of 'The Sailor's Hornpipe'), and he replied that because the tag was not shown on the original airing, he wouldn't add it to his transcript.

I don't know if it was an American thing, or just a syndication thing (and I happened to miss the original showing), but whenever "TOW No One's Ready" is repeated, they never show the banquet scene at the end, what they show is the generic ending with the Friends dancing around the fountain and the music playing. And in fact I never knew the banquet ending existed until I got TBOFv2, in which quite a few scenes were added to that episode (and other episodes) that I had never seen. Including the banquet ending as well as Rachel's sister leaving a message asking Rachel if she had gone out with a guy she hooked up with cause he shouted "two for two" in bed.

That is the confusion. So like I said before, if I was wrong I apologize. But I know FOR SURE that in repeats they never show the banquet ending. I can't speak in certainty about the original showing of that episode since I don't have a tape of it's original airing.

Understood... and you're probably right about the syndicated reruns. But I know that the banquet scene was in the original airing, and there are all sorts of scenes snipped from the syndicated shows to make room for more commercials. Honestly, some of the lines they cut out of the syndicated shows really burn me. And I'm such a fanatic freak that I recognize every edit without fail. I am going to go flat broke when they start releasing the entire seasons on DVD...

I've seen it in syndication a couple of times "Excuse me, that's my seat" with Chandler and the Professor/scientist guy. I hadn't seen the epsode prior to syndication. They may have a couple of cuts of the episode.

There is virtually no difference between how the episode ends in the "extended version" on TBOFv2, and how it was originally shown.

In *both* of them, the final scene is at the banquet.

The only difference at the end is that on TBOFv2, the final scene begins with Ross drinking a glass of champagne, and talking to the others (who look bored), saying "So I said 'Who are you? Cro-Magnon P.I.?'"

After that, both versions end with Chandler arguing with Sherman Whitfield for sitting in his chair.

So based on 'original airing' this show does not take place on one set.
