The Phoebe vs. Rachel run for maid of honor had some eerie (sp?) similarities to this Bush-Gore thing going on the last two days. Too close to call, declared winner keeps being changed, accusations of improprities, varied attempts at a final decision, etc. Maybe this was scheduled for a few weeks from now and it was moved up? Creepy coincidence either way if you ask me.

I think the rule is after it's aired in the US twice, then it's fair game. I agree, that it's really wierd that there were so many similarities between last night's episode and the election!! But I don't think they moved it up, because it was listed on TV guide online two weeks ago.

They probably scheduled it to coincide with the election. They already knew that this election was meant to be the closest for decades, and just got very lucky with the outcome ?
it would have to be that. The episode was taped a while ago---long before the vote, revote, recount thing. Either they speculated, or it was just a GIANT coincidence.
