I'm sure it wouldn't. The show has lost viewers this season, but it's still the top-rated sitcom on TV and most of the time, it's NBC's second-highest-rated show (after ER). Obviously, the network is going to order another season if it all possible.

The only thing that may prevent season 7 from happening is the cast�the show will come to an end if the cast members decide they don't want to do another season, or if they demand SO much money that it becomes unprofitable for NBC to continue the show.

And I don't think a petition is going to influence the cast members' decision even one little bit. They know they've got fans. They know their fans would like to see another season. The show's ratings are enough to tell them that. Their decision will be based on how much cash they're offered and on how badly they want, or don't want, to portray the Friends' characters for one more year�not on how many fans sign a petition.

This is VERY true. They probably wouldnt even see the petition ever and if they did, I dont see how it would help. I think its pretty obvious they have fans if they are the number one rated sitcom in the US.

Help us save a truely quality show on ABC before it is lost forever. Sports Night on ABC just received TV Guides's The Best Show You're Not Watching award. It is a truely ingeniuos blend of comedy and drama detailing the life working on a sports network like ESPN. It should be given a chance to live and bring in those viewers which, as of the TV Guide Awards, were not watching. It's time to show Network TV just how much of a united front the internet

can provide when we work together.
