Watching The Good Life this evening (Good Neighbors when the US showed it), it struck me that Margo and Monica have an awful lot in common.... They were playing games at Christmas, and while Margo didn't "get" it at first, she was soon fiercely competitive and keeping score even when the others broke for food. Methinks Monica might grow up to be a Margo, especially with someone biddable and pliable to be Jerry.... ;)

I think they'd starve to death if they had to rely on Rachel's baking/cooking/gardening skills.... but I like Joey for Tom, that's a good ;) match.

for the americans in the group (specially the younger americans) the good life was a brit program that aired about 20-30 years ago about two sets of neighbors. One conventional, and one non-conventional. It had some extremely good writing
yes it was a retitling it was popular in the mid eighties but really doesnt get re-aired all that much
It airs all the time here in Dallas, it seems.
But for some weird reason, our PBS station is the highest rated for the British Sitcoms in the country. Go figure.
