monica & rachel...question

did anyone catch the clip on aol from the new episode tonight? when monica says something to rachel about emma? does anyone else ever get the feeling that monica really doesn't like rachel sometimes? last week she called her a slut, i think it was last yr she made a comment about emma again saying that she was the product of cheap wine and an old condom, and that whole "stealing monica's thunder" thing.

i understand why she would say that about the thunder, and i understand what she was saying about emma, but would you really say those things about your best friend?

this is probably the lamest post ever, but i was just wondering what someone else might have thought of this.

I don't think she should be saying things like that about Emma. At some point the child's going to be old enough to understand some of that, and even if she doesn't get the precise references, Emma's going to sense that Aunt Monica has a certain amount of bitterness. So, for Emma's sake, I hope Monica sucks it up and learns to be a little more gracious.

Didn't think much of the insensitivity of last night's remark, either.

Thing is, Rach kind of pushed herself into Monica's life "Well, I guess we've established who's staying with Monica..." It's been a lot of years since then, but if Monica was still mad about her sweet 16 party, I can see her still harboring some resentment about Rachel just assuming Monica would make room for her in her life.

The baby insults are really lame but if the show lasted long enough, maybe Monica would be totally different after being a mom herself ( I saw that happen with my son's first grade teacher.). Terri
