Anyone know for sure if the Friends finale will conflict with a new episode of Survivor?

Don't know. I don't watch Survivor. But, as for ratings....my money's on Friends bringing in the big numbers over Survivor. ~~~ Kathy

When the last episode of "Seinfeld" aired, TVland aired nothing opposite it, just a graphic saying "Go watch "Seinfeld, we are" or something similar.

Keep in mind that at least once (and I think maybe more than once) the finale of Survivor has moved to Sunday night, specifically so it would not conflict with something happening on Thursday. While I'm not sure the Friends finale is going to be a "not to be missed" episode (other than because it's the last episode), this might be a time when Survivor vacates the time slot just in case.
Of course, I don't know if the dates even coincide.

Even when Survivor runs its finale on Sunday night, they still show a new episode on the Thursday before. And in this case, I'm not sure if the schedules would even line up right for the two finales to be the same week. Survivor never does reruns and never skips a week. Aside from showing the final episode on Sunday night, the only other time they move to a different night is during the NCAA finals. I thought I saw something somewhere that said Les Moonves had made a statement that he was going to run a new Survivor and a new CSI against the Friends finale. If that happens, I'm sure Friends will still get the higher rating, but it won't be as high as it would be with no competition. I'm pretty certain that when Seinfeld and Cheers did their finales, the other major networks showed reruns. That may not happen here.

The original poster was just asking if the Friends FINALE will conflict with a NEW episode of Survivor, not the Survivor finale.
If it does, that's the beauty of VCRs -- watch one, tape the other.
