In the Episode 809 The One with the Rumor, We get to know that there was something going on between Ross and a 50-year-old woman. But in an episode of the first season Ross told Chandler and Joey that his "first time" was with Carol, later known as his lesbian ex-wife. And: Did they change the actor who plays the role of Carol? I think, in the first season, Carol looks very different.

Yes, a well known continuity error, one out of many. Let's either pretend, he made out with the librarian, but didn't have sex with her, or he lied earlier, because it was to embarassing or his memories were being repressed.

Not quite "in the first season". Carol was played by Anita Barone in 102 "TOW the Sonogram at the End", and by Jane Sibbett from 109 "TOW Underdog Gets Away" onwards. Miss Barone auditioned for a part in the main cast, and when she failed, was given the part of Carol as compensation. But for some reason she was dissatisfied with this, and she quit the show.

Mindy Hunter has also been played by two actresses (Jana Marie Hupp and Jennifer Grey), as has Dina Tribbiani (Lisa Melilli and Marla Sokoloff), while in a *speaking* r�le Ben Willick has been played by three actors (Charles Thomas & John Christopher Allen, and Cole Mitchell Sprouse).
