Where & how did Rachel and Ross make a baby?

Looks like in the Joey's living room on a yellow sofa? Because it's exactly the direction where the video camera looked, and afterwards they watched the tape together and there definitely was the sex part all the fuss is about.

But it's weird, because:

• Rachel even did not close the door when she came from work;

2. When Joey, Phoebe and Monica investigate who is the owner of red sweater Joey says that there was "some guy" who spent a night with Rachel but he does not know who was that. It looks that he has a serious memory problem because he definitely saw Ross wearing the red sweater on that day;

3. Well, even if Ross forgot his sweater at Joey's what did he wear when go home? Naked?

3. If Ross & Rachel moved to Rachel's bedroom for sex, did somebody move the video camera? Who was that? Ross? But he said it was an accident;

• Are condoms really 97% effective? ;-)

Yeah, I know what episode was that. It's very funny and sweet but unfortunately looks impossible. Just try to imagine the situation. They should at least move to Rachel's bedroom (otherwise why Joey didn't know what guy spent A NIGHT with Rachel?), but what the hell happened to videocamera in this case?

The videocamera was running and aimed in the direction of the couch which was where Ross and Rachel was sitting, and ultimately had sex. My guess is that the reason they didn't move to Rachel's bedroom was that Ross was extra horny from going 6 mos. without sex and they were both a bit tipsy, so the couch was it. ~~~ Kathy

And if you remember (just watch the episode), Rachel even didn't lock the door when came from work. OK, how then Joey didn't know who is the guy who spent a night with Rachel?

Even Joey has a memory problem and don't remember that Ross had that red sweater, he should at least see them on a coach when came home, if they slept together in the living room.

Another question - if Ross left his red sweater at Joey's, what did he put on when go back home?

I think in this case, the term "sleeping together" meant just sex, not necessarily actually sleeping together in a bed.

I don't know about you, but I usually don't remember what my friends are wearing, I do however remember if I've seen (or thought to have seen) them having sex. In particular if they are not seeing anybody at the time one tends to get curious, so that is not that strange. Beside Joey has a one track mind.

I don't remember the door issue but who doesn't close the front door behind him (her)? If the door was left open it would be strange either way (having sex or not).

The only open question I have about this episode is where in 2002 did they find a 97% effective condom.

BTW, do americans really use the expression "to sleep together" as a synonym "to have sex"?

I mean in this context, i.e. as an exact equivalent (sleep together = have sex?).

I.e. when Ross said "A month ago me and Rachel slept together", does this mean that they just had sex (let's say, 15 minutes), or it means something more, like

"after sex (the deed), they went to bed together to sleep and (maybe) cuddle or at least to enjoy each others company."

In Russian language it definitely means that they had something more but sex, and in case of Ross and Rachel I think it definitely must be more.

Just re-watched the episodes with Red Sweater and Videotape.

Let's imagine you are Joey.

You have a pretty unusual talk with Ross about sex, then go to a date. Coming back several hours later you see a red sweater somewhere in the living room (it's even not important is anybody except Rachel in her bedroom at this moment or not!). What is your normal reaction?

Variant 1: Oh, whose sweater is this? Yesterday (today a couple of hours ago?) Ross has been here with my videocamera, probably he left it. And then, let's say, by phone: "Ross, it seems to me that yesterday you had a red sweater when we talked? I've found it in my living room, take it back."

Or, if he hears something and thinks that there is somebody with Rachel:

Variant 2: Who is that? Oh, when I went to date Ross has been here with my videocamera. It looks like his red sweater. Wow, he is with Rachel!

But what is his reaction?

Variant 3: Hmm... Some dude is with Rachel. Who is that?

Next day he wakes up because he has heard a noise (talking?) from the next room and goes back to sleep. Later that day (or even week) he finds a guys sweater which is not his. If he knew or suspected that it's Ross', he'll hold on to it until he saw Ross (why call somebody who you see daily?). Knowing Joey he probably forgot it :).

Anyway if he realized that it was Ross, he would remember the whole situation, so he didn't. Probably he really forgot ;-)

I also never remember what my friends wear, but on a next day? and after so unusual conversation? and so unusual bright color? and Rachel - Joey never was indiffirent to her, and he at least would ask her about who was that.
