About �70. The one I use is WinTV. which in the past has been an add-on card, but there's now a USB version. Try www.simply.co.uk - that's where I saw it advertised.

No.
You videotape the program in the normal way, then attach a coaxial cable from the VCR 'out' socket to the 'in' socket on the WinTV card. Once done, you play the video in the usual way, and the WinTV software decodes it and plays it back on the PC screen. You can then capture still shots or video sequences.

They're pretty good, I have to say - especially when you figure out how to make screen grabs and make video clips from them, hint hint. :) (What software do you use, Paul? I find the provided software decidedly clunky, not really very easy to use and generally pretty crappy. :))

Yes, you can watch live transmissions, and capture from them too.
(Mind you, that's much easier with a VCR)! :)
