OT:Dawsons Creek (sorry)

My server doesn't have alt.fan.dawsons-creek or anything like that, so I'll ask here. Sorry. I found an mp3 of Katie Holmes singing On My Own from Les Miserables and I was wondering what episode approximately she sang this in. She doesn't have the best voice, so it would be cool to actually see her sing it. Has anyone here seen Les Miserables live? I am not one of those 'cultured, arty' people, but I loved it. If anyone gets the chnce, please go and see it. It is worthwhile. I'd give anythign to see it again. Cheers, Anthony

There are Dawson's Creek fans in this newsgroup too????? That's so cool!!!!!!!!! Dawson's Creek is my favorite show in the world, I've been watching since the very first episode!!!!! So do you guys think that Pacey and Joey should get together?? I DON'T!!! I thought that it would be okay back in "Modern Romance" ("Double Date") but now I don't, I'm and avid Pacey\Tamara supporter, but I know that will never happen again so I am also an avid Pacey\Andie supporter. Funny you should ask if anyone has 'seen' Les mis�rables - I actually performed in it back in 1995. That was the best 6 months of my life - it is my favourite musical of all time and I too would recommend that 'everyone' go see it.

What part did you play? When I saw it I fell in love with Eponine, she is just gorgeous, and completely selfless. That song On My Own, and A Little Fall Of Rain are so beautiful, and sad. I almost cried, and I am like Chandler in that I almost can't. Jean Val Jean is an amazing character, and the Thernandiers (something like that) are so awful that you love to hate them. And Javert, poor deluded fool doing what he thinks is right. In the original version they were not going to include Stars. I'm glad that they did. it is the song that makes him a complex character. See this show if you haven't. I am doing a film-making course, and a screenwriting course. We have to do an essay on conflicts in drama, so I chose Les Mis because it is so full of them. Anyway, I'll shut up now and go find the soundtrack to listen to. Oh yeah, and before anyone says 'yuk, a musical' remember that most Disney films are musicals, and a few Simpsons episodes. You are right, it wasn't in the original French concept production, but when the show opened in London it did have a very poory written version of 'Stars'. It was later revised to give the character more complexity (as you've said =)

That is a big misconception about musicals - mosy people say 'yuk' but they then sit through 'The Lion King and think 'Cool' - weird.
