Did anyone else notice that the Monica plot was stolen from The Good Life?

I haven't seen that series (or is it a movie?) but if it was it wouldn't be the first time some plot or some lines were "borrowed" from some other show. Hell, what can we expect after 200 episodes they can run out of fresh ideas.
