Series 10 DVD Region 1?

I keep checking the online stores for the release of Series 10 but there's nothing .... anyone know?

yes. When they shot Friends, they typically shot several extra minutes, then would cut out some of the footage that wasn't really necessary to get it down to the time the network wanted. Typically, they'd be extensions of jokes or other little jokes that didn't really advance the story, but were still funny.

I believe Season 10 will be out on DVD in the States in September. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall writing that down somewhere...

Well the extended version is much more fun to watch. The last one for instance was much nicer to watch in the extended version. Maybe because the sadness has subsided, but the "box of crap" remark from Joey and the toddler being born were nice relieves from the excitement of the storyline.

It still won't be available in the US for some time, but I'm guessing it'll be around Christmas when it's released. ~~~ Kathy

Yes, the UK DVDs ones are just the bog-standard episodes. I believe the last couple of series DO have some extras, but they are only slight. The early series don't have any extras whatsoever which is why we went searching for something more ... and found it via www.playusa.com . Sometimes we have to pay a customs charge (around �8.50) on top, sometimes we get away with it. But it's a good service from them and they are generally cheaper than most other online DVD retailers.

The USA Region 1 DVDs have the extended episodes (or you CAN watch the bog-standard episodes instead also on there), PLUS they have a gag reel, little quizzes, interviews with the crew etc. Much more entertaining and value for money.

We have a multi-region DVD player as the US usually get more "extras" on all their DVDs.

The US region 1 DVD's only have the extended version, not the standard ones. I've got all 9 seasons that have been done so far. I believe the only one that has them as aired would be the couple episodes that were already supersized when they aired, and the final episode that came out. It has both versions: as-aired and with the extra footage.

Season 10 DVD will be out in the US on November 15th, 2005.

And it also appears that a slipcase will be made available for those of us who bought all ten separate season boxed sets to store them in... perhaps a similar offer to what New Line did for the 'Lord of the Rings' extended edition DVD sets?

The UK version of 'The One With All Ten Seasons' is sweet as heck, though... I hope the slipcase art is very similar.
