Free Condo For Cubs Fan to Extend Stay in South Florida to Six Months Thursday October 16, 5:49 pm ET

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- South Florida residents are stepping up to the plate to help Steve Bartman with everything from a free condominium on Fort Lauderdale beach to a job to airlines and limousine transportation. Both properties offer incredible beach views to help with the stress that Steve Bartman has been facing. He will fly on Spirit Airlines with two free round trip tickets from the Chicago O'Hare Airport to Fort Lauderdale.

Mr. Bartman, the Chicago Cubs fan, who is now famous for catching a foul ball Wednesday night, is also being offered free martinis at the Martini Bar, free dinners at the LuLu's Bait Shack in Beach Place and a free water taxi ride on the Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal Waterway.

The Cubs fan is the talk of the nation and the free six-month escape to South Florida is a way to keep the young man from avoiding the heat in Chicago. Extra steps will be taken so that he will have plenty of time to relax on the beach in Fort Lauderdale.

"I consider this guy a hero," said Daniel J. Melk, developer of The Atlantic. "To show our appreciation, we'd like to extend his visit to South Florida to include a three month stay at a five-star luxury condominium hotel where he can relax and escape the chills of Chicago."

Mr. Bartman is in seclusion; all he has to do is call the public relations firm providing the free package, Malkus Communications Group, at 954.523.4200. Additionally, Malkus Communications is sending a Western Union wire and FedEx to Mr. Bartman.

"Everyone in South Florida feels badly for Mr. Bartman and it's understandable that he has been traumatized, so our PR firm will help with his get-away to South Florida and he will be taken care of by local businesses," said Chuck Malkus, CEO of Malkus Communications Group.

A South Florida radio station, WZTA (94.9 FM) has offered Mr. Barton employment should he have an interest of relocating or working while he stays in South Florida. Morning show hosts Paul Castronovo and Ron Brewer say they'll work out good terms of employment should Mr. Bartman have an interest of relocating to South Florida.

The invitation is open and the loneliest Cubs fan may simply call 954.523.4200 to schedule his six-month excursion.

Personally I think its garbage he is getting so much flack for what he did. I mean after all if you are goign to blame someone for losing the game, blame the short stop who dropped the ball then kicked it!!!

He interfered w/ a play. Apparently (I didn't see it) the ball could have been caught by the cubs making it an out. Instead this fan reached over the fence/railing the potential out was instead a foul.

I was a former Marlins fan b4 Wayne sold the club. The Yanks have always had my respect for being a good strong dependable team. The Marlins are earning their way back. The new team has played hard. If they win the World Series, its going to renew the baseball fever in many of the scorned Florida fans.

Are they fuck. The only American sport event that airs in Germany is the Superbowl finale and it gets less than a million viewers. I think they don't even show the NBA over here anymore, except for very minimal coverage, which one could compare to CNN's world sports news. If everyone who was offended by another individuals comments posted their response to the INDIVIDUAL (where it should be posted) and not to the NG I'd be willing to bet that things would get resolved a lot more quickly and the innocent by standers would not get dirty by the slinging mud.
