Watching Season 3, disc 3, last night, "The One Without The Ski Trip" - the dvd kept repeatedly skipping and jumping on this episode. The prior three episodes on the disc play fine.
They're Region 1 discs, purchased from Amazon.com. Anyone else had this problem?

I had problems with disc 1 from Netflix -- I assumed it was just a damaged disc.

I've had this sort of problem lately, especially with Netflix discs (boy, try saying that five times fast). They get pretty grinched up in the mail.
DVD players usually are able to deal with small scratches on disks, but as they get older they become less "tolerant." I've found that using a DVD lens cleaner helps. (If you buy the one from Radio Shack, do yourself a favor and mute the audio. It's very loud and the voiceover is incredibly annoying.)

I had problems with Season 4 TOW The Invitation. Kept stopping every little bit during most of the episode. It was okay in the next episode.
