Winona Ryder to Guest on 'Friends'

(Katrillion) -- Sure, her last two films have been forgettable. But if rumors turn out to be true, Winona Ryder's upcoming guest spot on "Friends" will be most memorable.

A spokeswoman for the NBC hit confirms for us that Ryder will be taping an episode for Must See TV that will air this spring. What's still unclear is if she'll actually lock lips with Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), as a certain tabloid is reporting.

The rep hadn't seen the show's script, and therefore couldn't dish.

"Friends" continues its head-to-head battle with CBS's "Survivor II: The Australian Outback" Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST.

Not likely...the media has been promoting anything remotely homosexual where women are concerned like it's going out of style the past few years, if you've noticed.

I would rather see Ryder play a character who locks lips with Ross. After all, according to last week's episode, it has been almost four months. I actually don't quite know how well Ryder would do a sitcom. Beetlejuice and Heathers were comedies of the darker variety. Although Reality Bites was "Friends-esque," it wasn't quite sitcom material. Also on the guest star front, Courteney mentioned getting Kurt Russell as a guest star during one of the press junkets for "3000 Miles to Graceland."

Well, I don't know how much of this that is actually true, but I read in an American tabloid that Rachel is apparently going to admit that she "had a drunken make-out session in college with a sorority sister named Melissa" played by Ryder. Phoebe, however, refuses to believe this, and Rachel takes Phoebe and Melissa out to dinner to show Phoebe that she is telling the truth. But when Melissa says that she can't remember it, Rachel kisses her. This makes Melissa remember their "affair", and she starts telling Rachel how much she loves her. Rachel then explains to Melissa that she kissed her to show Phoebe that she was telling the truth, and after Rachel's old friend leaves them, Phoebe grabs Rachel and kisses her...

If this is in fact true, I have to say that my worst fears about ridiculous Sweeps-stunts have come true. C'mon, we've seen this too many times already. Ally McBeal, anyone?
