How funny was Rachel's, "Oh, you were talking about Emily?"

Did Rachel forget that she basically set Ross up with Jill?

And did she also forget that he ended it when Rachel stated that she was "uncomfortable" with it?

How 'bout all that C&J stuff we got tonight?

Will anyone tease Rachel about the age difference with her and Paul?

Can we hire a barber to show up to give MP, LK, and JA some haircuts?

Why does "Lizzie" come across as the mature one in her relationship with Ross?

And why is it inevidable that a sudden character change(being immature all of a sudden) will cause their breakup?

Does anyone else find it painful to watch Ross nowadays?

Looks aside, would any of you guys actually marry Monica?

I wonder how Ben is doing in school?

Why does an episode with a major movie star, in a role that suites him well, come across kinda flat?

Can anyone find some time to help me look for "The Old Chandler" and "The Old Monica"?

Inevidable? Learn to spell, idiot.

That isnt an easy word to spell. You shouldn't be calling them an idiot because of a spelling error. Who's to say they have a spell checker.

Actually, no, not last night.   Really, not since he started dating
Elizabeth.  It's like, if they give him a weird situation to be in, they
don't have to make him a jerk because they can get the comedy from the
weirdness of the situation.   He is awkward and tongue-tied when people
are being unnecessarily cruel to him.  He always has been.  I can
relate. This was the kind of stammering we saw in season one when he
faced off against Susan, and nobody thought ill of him then; it's also
similar to the abuse he took from Doctor Green in season three.  We
recognized that he was an uncombative personality under heavy stress
from an unpleasant person.  Now he's been made to look so bad in
*inappropriate* settings (TOW Unagi) that an appropriate setting, like
the one we saw last night, rubs some people wrong.  This scene would
actually have been more effective if Ross was normally written in a more
balanced light.

Ugh. No.

Because his line deliveries were very heavy and stern and not very animated.

If you'll help me find "Old Ross" as well. Actually, I thought he was there last night.

I looked back at the episode and I think for the most part, Ross was more normal than he has been lately. The scene that rubbed me wrong was when he confronted Rachel about her being with Paul. I don't know if it was the high pitched voice, the yelling or the facial expressions, but he just came across cartoonish to me. Certainly not like a 31 year old father with a PHD. I think a lot of his scenes would be more effective if he was written in a more balanced light. It's just tough to watch a rerun and see Ross and then watch a new episode with him. I have trouble believing he would ever handle this situation the same way 3 years ago as he does now. To me, he could just as well be played by a different actor because he's a totally different character and it's not working for me.

Apparently he would be in either Kindergarten or 1st grade right now, but we would never know it.
