LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - While some may say that Brad Pitt's reason for guest-starring on "Friends" is due to his wife, series star Jennifer Aniston, he says it was just to promote his film career.
When asked what persuaded him to appear on the long-running comedy series, the actor cockily replied, "self-promotion for 'Spy Game.'"
"No, but let me finish up, because I do love the show very much, long before I met my wife, even," he tells Zap2it.com while promoting another upcoming movie, "Ocean's Eleven."
"It makes me happy, this show," Pitt added, referring to the NBC comedy. "So I had a great time doing it."
Those watching the show may have noticed that scenes promised in articles about the episode, such as Pitt donning a fat suit, were never aired. That's because they were never shot.
"Oh, I don't do a fat-suit scene," he says. "That's just [the] history of the character, I guess. But, yeah, there's none of that."
The episode featuring Pitt, titled "The One with the Rumor," aired on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m.
