One more question

In the eps they're showing right now, Joey has his shoulder in a restraint. My question is, did Matt hurt himself to cause this, or was it strictly script work? I wondered if it was the former, only because the injury happened off-screen.

Is this during season 3? If so, yes, he was injured in real life. Remember that scene in TOW They Are Getting Ready where Joey and Chandler run for the empty seat? Well, when Matt was running, he tripped or something and injured his arm. In the show, they say that Joey injured himself while jumping on his bed.

Yes, that's what happened. He didn't want to tell the doctor he did it jumping on the bed, which is kind of cute actually. But it might not be as unintelligent as some think, only because, if you've dislocated your shoulder more than once, it *can* come out easily, sometimes even in your sleep! I've known it to happen. <g>
