joey and his health insurance was great, so was phobe and the phsycic.
by the way did anyone recognise the guy who asked ross why his accent was changing, i;ve seen him in something but can't remember what, does anyone know who he is?

AIUI, what they were getting at was that Joey got it for free from the union because actors are technically self-employed, but because he didn't work much last year he didn't work enough to 'pay it off', and as a result it was revoked.

Think of it like our Unemployment Benefit as was. If you paid enough contributions (in that case, through National Insurance) you could claim UB. If you didn't you only got IS (at a lower rate). If Joey paid enough through the deduction system which being part of his union would require, then he would get benefits. If not, no insurance. Some UK unions still work this way (but not all).

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) allows members to be part of their health plan, which gives members a years worth of health insurance if they earn over a certain amount, or work over a specific number of days in a year. Obviously it's been a lean year for the Joester. He should've earned over US$7,500 or worked 60 days or more to be eligble for SAG's health plan. Oops :)

The question of time has been puzzling me a bit in S6 so far - Monica & Chandler decided to live together upon returning from Vegas in 601, broke the news in 602, handled the flak in 603, and "helped" Rachel pack in 604. Are we to assume that these episodes were set days not weeks apart?
Maybe most of 604 took place a day or so after they got back to New York, then the final scene with a fit Joey was back on time, three weeks later.
