Be aware of a little spoilering of the episodes of season 8 not aired yet.
If my calculations are correct, 906 will be the 200th episode of Friends. AFAIK it's common for US networks to have special story lines when reaching the 100th episode (Phoebe's giving birth) or multiples of that.
According to what I read about the progress or non-progress of Ross & Rachel in the rest of season 8 I'm wondering if it's possible that we'll see their wedding so soon. I mean, we don't even know about this season's cliffhanger, if there'll be one at all, while some of us are guessing all the possibilities for that, but it's quite sure that Rachel won't marry in that episode. But back -er- forward to 906, what else might happen than Ross & Rachel engaging/marrying? Mondler breakup? Someone dying/moving? That're not stories you celebrate your 200th episode with, but you could use as a cliffhanger any other time. Well, although I find it way too simple, it's perfectly fitting to engage R&R in 906 and wed them in 924, after all it'd be better than engagement in 824 and marriage in the 200th. But as they're not getting together again until at least 822 even this, the official reunion, could be 906's story.
I'm pretty sure, IF there's gonna be a R&R reunion, they'll not wait with it or an engagement until the series' finale. That'll be the wedding (closing the circle from 101 where Rachel's a bride too) or something completely different. Where I'd like the latter the better, because it'd be less predictable.
What do you think? Are they rushing R&R together now, just to have a big celebrationary 200th episode?
