last night's show

The whole "pact" theme w/ flashbacks had me laughing, but Phoebe's "tea" did not. Who were all those people sitting at the other tables in Monica's apartment? Obviously, they were extras, but we've never seen any of them before and it seemed weird to me that they were there. Joey's stint on Pyramid had its moments, but, again, the "pact" was the best.

Yes, while watching the stripping scene, I kept wanting to know who those women were. Not so much that we hadn't seen them before, but why put them in there if they aren't going to interact in some way. Most times when you see such things, the guests do interact in some way, if only over the obligatory gifts. They could have at least dug up some minor characters from past episodes to fill that scene. Maybe they did, but I didn't recognize them, nor did I have a good chance to see all of them.

As it was, they could have the three women, and the stripper. They could have accounted for that stripper by having Monica ask Ursula if she knew any strippers, after all Ursula was in porn (and might still be?), and Ursula could deliberately suggest the stripper they got.
