During tonight's broadcast of 9.09, my local NBC station futzed out right after. . . .

**** Rachel said "That's my Bubbe!" It came back just before Phoebe's last line prior to the commercial break. Could anyone fill in what happened in between? And what Phoebe said, too (I was still upset about the blackout and missed what she said).

. . . Ugh. I hate it when I make typos! Anyway, that title should read "NBC."

Belphoebe, The same thing happened where I live. I think it may've been an NBC problem. Although it sounds like you got to see a smidgen more than I did; nothing came on until the commercial break (starting with the "feathers" falling into a little NBC Peacock, maybe just local ads aired here), then the rest of the show. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------

Yes, this happened to me as well! It was about one minute of the two girls at the bar talking with the guys. I never say her giving Bill her number.

This is especially important in my case, as I am supposed to be transcribing this episode!

Now that everyone's overdosed on Teletubbies, David Buehrle had a cracker and said:

You have the episode on tape, don't you? Can you give me the last line you heard before the blackout and the first one after that? I'll transcribe the bit in between

I downloaded it from the French site. Then, I found ngs's post which has it all. Thanks anyway.

My station dropped out at that point too, so I don't think it was a local problem.

1st guy: So we're on our way to a couple of parties. Maybe we could get your numbers and give you a call if we find something fun.

P: I'm sorry, but we're not really looking for anything to happen with you guys. I have a boyfriend.

1st: All right. It's not big deal.

2nd guy: So she has a boyfriend. What is your situation?

R: Oh, it's complicated. I don't actually have a boyfriend. But uh

2nd: Well then can I have your number?

R: I'm sorry no.

2nd: Okay (The guys start to walk away)

R: oh sure.

P: (Reading) Oh my God you're giving your real number.

2nd: Okay, thanks. I'll give you a call later tonight.

R: Great

2nd: Bye

P: Bye. (Guys leave) Wow so that's great. You, Bill, Ross, and Emma are going to be so happy together. What were you thinking?

R: I don't know. He was cute and he liked me. It was an impulse.

P: Well what about Ross? What about your moment? Don't you want to talk to Ross about it?

R: No. No! Because I know exactly how the conversation is going to go. 'Hey Ross, you know I think we had a moment before.' (Deep voice) 'Yeah. (Clears throat) Me too' (As Rachel) 'Well but I'm not sure I really want to do anything about it.' (As Ross) 'Yeah. (Clears throat 2x) Me neither. (Clears throat)' (As Rachel) 'Well should we just continue to live together and not tell each other how we're really feeling?' (As Ross) 'Yeah, that works for me.' (Clears throat 2x)

P: Yeah, I see what you mean. By the way, nice Ross immitation. But your Rachel wasn't whiny enough.

R: Hey!

P: Better.

R: Well the point is maybe I should just stop waiting around for moments with Ross. You know, I should just, move on with my life.

P: So really, you're moving on from Ross?

R: I don't know. Do I have to decide right now?

P: Well you kinda just did. That guy's gonna call you tonight. Ross is gonna pick up the phone and that's a pretty clear message.

R: Oh my God Ross. Ross is gonna pick up the phone! Oh, I have to get my number back! (Looks for guy) Oh my God, he's gone!

P: (mocking) Oh, I have to get my number back! Oh my God, he's gone! Dead on.
