In which episode was Smelly Cat first mentioned and/or sung?
In episode 4 or 5 of season 2, The One with the Baby on the Bus, Chrissie Hynde guest stars, and Rachel tells Lisa that she had put in a rquest for Smelly Cat -- at the end of the ep, Phoebe is teaching it to Chrissie Hynde character.
Looking it as a rerun is one thing -- but looking at it as though I'm first seeing it, I would have wondered what in the world Smelly Cat was.
Was it ever mentioned or sung in an episode before then?

The One with the Baby one the Bus was indeed the first time we were treated to "Smelly Cat" Although it seems like the song was sung more, it actually was sung in only 5 episodes. It was heard for the final time in season 4 episode 18, TOW Rachel's New Dress. It was mentioned a few more times but not performed. It was the only one of Phoebe's songs to be heard in more than one episode.
