Season premiere in UK?

Wow! I didn't know the season premieres in UK were so late. Here in Brazil, with subtitles and stuff, they will premiere the 8th season on November 6th.

But that means that you have to have gaps in the schedule while waiting for the US episodes to be shown - starting in January means we get one new episode a week (except for the odd *double* episode), right up to the series finale which runs at the same time (more or less) as the US one.

Yes, exactly. And we have a lot fewer, since we get the entire series in 20-24 weeks. (On other days we have reruns of previous series, but we don't have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for a new one once the new series starts.)
