Is anyone else at all curious of the storyline thread that they have not explored -- Kip was Chandler's ex-roommate(before Joey) and was phased out after breaking up with Monica. This seems like a perfect storyline now since they are married.

Friends, IMHO, is at its best when it has season-long plot arcs that keep things interesting during the course of the year. And right now, I just don't find Chandler/Monica as baby making machines all that funny. Although I will give you that in general women wanting sex like a man is funny. (i.e--the "fight sex" that Chandler/Monica had one episode, where Monica faked Chandler out just to have it.)
But, it probably won't happen. Just like having a "bi" Friend probably won't happen. Phoebe (sic--I can't remember how her name is spelt for the life of me and I'm too lazy to look it up) would be great as a vanilla lesbian. Just imagine how freaked out the other five would be if she casually walked in with her new girlfriend. BUT, it would make sense within the context of her character AND it would be very, very very, funny.
As an aside--what is the deal with Ross/Rachel? They've never been very realistic as a couple--yes, they're a sweet story line and Ross is apparently good in bed, but Rachel Green in real life would _never_ *ever* have a long-term relationship with a Ross. It just wouldn't happen. They'd be too different and have different expectations on life. And as Ross is written, he's a dork. And Jennifer appears to be biding her time more and more. "When will this be over so I can make movies and babies," she seems to be thinking.

This is why the R&R combination worked so well in the beginning. The fact that Rachel who is supposed to be "hot" fell for a "dorky" but decent kind of guy isn't realistic but I think the combination of R&R was more captivating back in season 2 than if Rachel had gone for an obviously "cool" guy. After all, many real-life "dorks" have fantasies of this sort and there's a part of us who enjoy seeing the least likely but deserving guy get the girl once in a while.
