Show filming

Hi all, I'm new here. I've lurked every once in a while, and I posted occasionally. I, just like a few other posters here in the last few days, just got tickets to see a filming of Friends. So, here's some of the advice I picked up:

• Get there early
• Take Jacket/Sweater and Snacks
• No cameras, pagers, cell phones, etc...
• Post a spoiler on the NG :)

Anything else I should know? I tried to get tix last year and missed out, so I'm a little excited now. Is there anything I can do or take that would make this even more exciting? BTW, I've been to alot of show tapings otherwise and I guess they can get pretty boring. Is this the same?

Hellooooo!!! After getting drunk in Vegas, Vishal Ailawadhi doodled cat whiskers on his/her face and miaowed this little lot at a statue...

Oh yes. Never been to a taping, but I know what sets tend to be like - absolutely bloody freezing! :)

Another given of any performance, I think; I've just started a three-night run of my school play tonight, and no-one's allowed to take anything in because it's seen as too distracting, basically.

Oh yes. Especially if it a. has sweeps info; b. has important info we should know about in advance so we can prepare to either be very happy or bitch about it <g>; or c. has foreshadowing between R&R (this isn't necessary, but it's nice because these days we'll take *anything* so long as it's giving us a little hope). :)

• A notepad to write down spoilers on :) (it helps, oddly)
• A notepad to get autographs on :)

I just have a question... what date are you going on? :)

March 3rd. Not sure how close that is to the cliffhanger. Hopefully within the last few episodes.

Some more advice if you're headed to a taping: -Bring some food, they don't feed you till late - if you have any questions about the show, write them down before you go, and you can probably get them answered by the MC/ comedian that's there -ask what the title of the episode is -go to the bathroom before you get in, otherwise you'll be stuck and miss some of the filming - and, when you are walking to get into the warner brothers area, (after you have been sitting on the curb) walk quickly, and go with the first group to get there, no matter what Audiences Unlimited says.

It should be 620. Getting sort of close to the cliffhanger, if there is one.

Yes, you'll be standing outside for a couple of hours (like I said be there very early). But the set is O.K.

Duh...

It'll get very boring. Entertainment on this show sucks. I couldn't sit there longer than 2 hours(after 2 hours outside). The best part is: you get to see one whole episode. The one that comes before the one being filmed. And they promise pizza, but bring it out only at the end.

How early would that be? like how many hours beforehand?

What, with Jim, the wonderful comedian entertaining us the whole time? ;)

Yeah, it does get kinda boring after a while, which is why most people leave early.

They don't *always* do that. Only if you're at an episode where you need to be filled in from the preceding episode to figure out what's happening in this one. I've been to a few where they didn't show us the episode filmed the week before. :(

Friends is filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.
