Rachel's Belly

Some people seem to think that it is unusual for Rachel to 'instantly' show her pregnancy from one week to the next. When I was pregnant for my daughter, I did not show *at all* until I was 7 and a half months pregnant. I wore the same jeans et al. Literally overnight, I swelled up like a beachball. I was on vacation and everyone freaked when I came back. 2 weeks later, I had my daughter (early) and the same day put on my original jeans. I was also in labour for about 20 minutes and walked out of the recovery room. Some people are just freaks. Andrea

What people are freaks? The women who show their pregnancy early or the women who don't? Or, the women who have long, painful deliveries or women who do it in 20 min and walk out of the delivery room? ~~ Kathy

I do find it odd her belly swelled up all of a sudden...meaning it wasnt gradual..

Yeah but who knows how much time has passed in the Friends world? Shortly after Chandler & Monica got back from their honeymoon, maybe the 4th or 5th episode in (Stripper/Hooker episode, maybe it was part of Nov. sweeps), it had only been two months since they had been married. So even though it took place in June, we're supposed to believe it was August/September the wedding happened.

Point is that we can't just assume it's a week's time that passes between episodes.

I would have to say that the suit she is wearing is very realistic. i liked it when her shirt rode up a little and you could see her belly. for a sec. I forgot she wasn't really preg.

I had to laugh at that because it reminded me of Tim Allen in The Santa Clause. I also remember him saying something about how hot the "rubber" suit was to wear. I don't think it's actually rubber, mayber latex or something, but I can see how it would be hot as, in his case at least, it was an entire upper body suit, and obviously it doesn't breathe.
