What is wrong with this

OK, I wanted to ask a new type of question (realizing that it is a week late). But what was the deal with Monica being upset that she was no longer a bride just someone's wife. If I were Chandler I would have smacked her. I love this show and would like to still love Courteney Cox's character, but could they make her more of a bit@@!

What episode was this? I think she was just saying she missed being a bride, it had been her childhood dream to get married. It's a happy memory...why wouldn't she want it to last a little longer.

Anyway, I like Monica..I don't even think she's the bitchiest. Phoebe took that crown the past couple of years (although she's been not to bad this year), and Rachel can say some pretty mean things when she wants to.

It was the way that Monica said it. It was the episode after the season premeier. I just thought that writing that line into the script for Monica to say didn't help me to like her character any more than I already did.

Because her comments suggest that actually being married to Chandler is unimportant and worthless. It demeans him considerably. I would have liked it better if she had spent the entire episode running up to complete strangers and announcing too loudly that she was MRS. CHANDLER BING, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! If you've been dreaming of getting married all your life, afraid you would be alone, badgered by Judy, this is the real payoff.

Well..of course it's easy to second guess the writers, I guess they thought it would be funny. I really didn't pay attention to the comment, I think people are putting to much weight into it, especially if you dislike Monica you'll assume the worst out of anything she says.

I actually enjoy it when Phoebe gets snippy. She does it so well it is funny every time. Especially when she gets so upset she can't get the words out properly. Or when she held her hand in the air and stared Ross down until he walked off. That and when she threatened to take the ugly naked apartment if Ross didn't try for it fast. It wasn't the comment but the way she moved towards the door that was funny. I have seen very very few moments from the friends cast that irritate me if any. Except maybe Rachel trying to convince everyone that Ross and her were not "on a break", despite the fact that everyone agreed with Ross. I think Ross should have stuck to saying that he believed they had broken up and that it could have been forever instead.
