I run Nero 5 and downloaded 906 from the frenchies and from Kazaa, but every time I want to burn it to a SVCD with Nero 5, it errors when it starts encoding?
Is there something wrong with the 906 file?
I was able to burn every other episode I ever downloaded with Nero to SVCD

Okay, so far I have burned every single episode from 501 to 905 to SVCD... So I do know how it all works, but sometimes the frenchies won't work so I need to get the Kazaa one, and vice versa, but this time they both don't work.
So I just had to uncompress it, and recompress it, and I have just finished burning it to SVCD, and am watching it on my DVD player right now..
Hi to those of you who are obviously more technically able than I. I don't really want to open up a can of worms on this, but I too have been using Nero to burn VCDs, and I need to use a program (TPMGEnc) to encode the avi files to the correct mpg files first, so that they will burn correctly through Nero. I learnt to do it this way after studying a webpage: "vcdhelp.com". If you guys have a simpler/better way of doing all of this can you pls let me know how?

With Nero you do this to burn a VCD or if you buy the plug SVCD... When it starts up you select close wizard, then you scroll down to VCD or SVCD and select. Then you just select your friends.avi and insert it in your burn area.
Then you click burn, and Nero automaticly starts encoding the file to make a Mpeg out of the avi, to be able to play on dvd players.. This does take a while, because it completely re-encodes the avi, so the best thing to do, is burn these cd's when your sleeping or go out. After the encoding, it starts burning automaticly and finishes like normal.
That's it, easy....
I tried to do it this way, dragging the .avi file into the burn area, and Nero told me that the file was not an .mpg of the correct format, and therefore could not be burned?!? Perhaps I am using a diff version of Nero? I'm using version 5, if that is different to what you use (Linda) could you please let me know?

I use Nero 5. And I have been doing this ever since Nero 4 something. I used to use different programms before that, but can't remember wich ones. But this is what I do with Nero 5.
Check their website for any updates. I bought some of the plugins, but that was over 16 months ago, so can't remember wich ones they where.

It requires MPEG files ready for VCD, which can be prepared with third-party programs." Which is what I have found myself?!? Honestly, am I on a different planet?
